Application of Weather Radar Rainfall Estimation Technology in San-Hua Reach of Yellow River

The improved window probability matching method and self-adaptive Kalman filter and variational approach method were used to make rainfall estimation and evaluation of the data from the two Doppler radars of new generation(CINRAD/SA) in Zhengzhou and Sanmenxia and ground automatic rain gauge data respectively,and the rainfall mosaic of the two radars rainfall estimation was realized.The evaluation results show that for the radar rainfall measurement,the experience relationship obtained from the improved window probability matching method is better than that of the present operational used in domestic.The processing by the self-adaptive Kalman filter and variational approach method can not only keep the spatial distribution features of the rainfall,but also improve the accuracy of the radar rainfall measurement.
