The imperial college high-voltage generator

Description

The design and construction of two pressure-insulated electrostatic generators similar to those of Van de Graaff and Trump are briefly described. Voltage tests with one of the generators with mixtures of nitrogen and freon under pressure have shown it to be capable of producing voltages in excess of two million.
