Barriers and Limitations of Qanat Construction and Rehabilitation

Qanat is always subject to a variety of barriers and limitations which may come about during its construction or refurbishment. This chapter classifies the possible barriers which may threaten the qanat practitioners or the whole project and then examines the measures the workers traditionally take to cope with barriers.
